About Waveform Visualization
A waveform displays the amplitude (loudness) of an audio signal over time. The vertical axis represents amplitude, while the horizontal axis represents time.
Reading Waveforms:
- Height: Taller waves = louder audio
- Density: Dense waves = higher frequency content
- Flat sections: Silence or very quiet audio
- Clipping: Waves that hit top/bottom = potential distortion
